On this tour we go deeper into the mushing world. You get to learn more, drive more, talk more and eat more than on the mushers joy. As always we start with a lesson in handling the sled and the dogs. We let our dogs loose at the starting point so they can warm up a bit. We put harnesses on the dogs and attach them to our sleds. The start is always a bit stressful but we take it slow and easy so that everyone gets going. We make a quick stop after 20-30 min to check the teams, adjust clothing or take a quick photo. After this brake the plan is to continue for another 1,5 hours up to the lunch spot. This is where the Alaskan husky comes to its right! Enjoy the scenery, make a film, take photos or just stand there and admire the dogs doing exactly what they are born to do.

When we stop for lunch we give the dogs a snack, make a fire and cook a nice reindeer stew. This is where we have time to solve the problems of the world. Or just make a snow angel and relax on the reindeer skin.

We are out for about 7 hours, depends on weather and trail conditions. On this tour its good to bring a bag with extra socks, jacket, scarf and warmer gloves.

Included:
Winter boots and overall to keep you warm

Excluded:
Transfer to and from the kennel.
Hats and gloves

There and back again! Chasing the lights! (2 days and 1 night)

Enjoy the two best things there is in life. Drive your own team of dogs through the forrest and spend the night in a heated tent.

After a day of dogsledding we arrive at our camp. Now it is time for us to get to work. We take care of the dogs, make a fire to get the tents warmed up, prepare food for the dogs and of course for us. At the camp there is no electricity or running water, this means total silence and complete darkness during the night.

We meet 9 am at the kennel. We get suited up and check that we have all the equipment we need. We have a safety instruction before we get to meet the dogs. And now its time to go. Finally the dogs are running and we are on tour!

Lunch is prepared over a fire on a nice spot along the trail and we arrive at the camp in the afternoon. When all the work is done and dinner is eaten there is free time to do anything you want. We have snowshoes so we can take a walk to some viewpoint, drink another cup of coffee or maybe photograph the aurora!?

The night is spent in a warm sleeping bag inside a heated lavvu (tepee) on a bed of reindeer skins, we make sure that you have enough firewood to keep the fire going through the night.
