Embrace the wonders of winter with cozy cottages and snowy trails in Lapland
For me, winter is the absolute highlight of the year! The crisp air to breathe and every snowflake is a unique work of art. I want to go out with my dogs and have a wonderful time behind them as they run through the forest. I also like the northern lights, which are out almost every clear night. In the forest, there are birds and foxes and, of course, the majestic moose!
We have combined all these elements so that you can enjoy them in this package. We feel that in order to make it as special as we feel this package deserves to be, we made it a private tour. Bring your best friend or gather a small group and come and enjoy our world for a while!

-
- Bedding in the cabin
- There are 3 double beds and an additional 2 bunk beds in the cabin.
- Overalls, shoes, and large mittens. The overalls are an extra layer to put on top of your clothes, so you still need to wear your own winter clothes. The overalls keep your clothes clean and ensure that the dogs do not tear them. The shoes are arctic winter boots specially made for winter climates. If you wear a pair of double wool socks, you should stay warm.
- Mittens are important for keeping your hands warm when driving a sled. Wear wool lining inside or perhaps a thin finger glove.
- Please state your normal shoe and clothing size when booking.
- Clear glasses, which you can borrow from us if it snows during our trip.
- Headlamp on the trip.
- Lunch and coffee break on day 1, dinner and evening coffee break on day 1, breakfast on day 2, lunch on day 2.
- Dog sled with usually 3-5 dogs. Depending on the conditions on the trail and the size of the guests.
- On this tour, I expect you all to drive your own sled, but it is also possible to share a sled with 2 people.
- Then you can take turns driving and keep each other company. A guide is always present to lead you through this experience.
- Personal gift from Wild Lapland
- Photos taken by a guide during the tour in a Dropbox file that is free to download.

- Good clothing!
- Wool underwear is best. Wool keeps you warm even when wet, unlike cotton. It’s a good idea to bring an extra pair of long johns and a long-sleeved T-shirt to ensure you have dry clothes when you go to bed.
- Many thin layers are always better than one thick layer.
- Wool socks, preferably two pairs and an extra pair to change into if you get wet.
- A warm and comfortable hat; a thinner one and a warmer one can be useful as the weather can change quickly.
- Smaller lining gloves to wear inside larger mittens.
- Finger gloves to use when working with the dogs.
- A scarf to protect your face from the wind.
- Sunglasses.
- Sunscreen! The sun is really strong and all the white snow reflects it, making it even stronger.
- Extra snacks or treats that you want to have during the trip.
Toothbrush and other hygiene items you need.
